Sarom's Southern Kitchen - Sacramento

Wow, all I can say is phenomenal! I savored every single bite. This was my first time here, and I’ve always noticed it’s packed whenever I drive past. I’m not usually a fan of country-style food, as I usually prefer to cook it myself, but this place was outstanding. The eggs were cooked to perfection – over easy, runny, and hot. The country potatoes were tender, and the biscuits and gravy were excellent; the biscuits were wonderfully soft, unlike the hard ones you often get at other places. To top it all off, I ordered catfish fillets, which were piping hot, crunchy, and flaky. I devoured my entire plate! I will definitely be returning!

The food was fantastic! I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, and it was delicious. I also sampled the jambalaya, which had a bit of a kick for my taste but was packed with amazing flavors. My friend had the chicken fried steak, and the biscuit and gravy were outstanding. Make sure to try the cornbread; it’s done perfectly. The mashed potatoes were also excellent!

This place truly embodies a southern kitchen! The food was fantastic and brought back memories of my grandmother's cooking. Everything was delightful, from the delicious whipped butter to the friendly yet professional service.

Amazing hospitality, little wait to get a seat? But we’ll worth it. Mac n cheese was on point and greens had some kick and fire flavor.

A hidden gem of Sacramento. Seriously, this is a must try. This food is great! the outside of the building and the area don't stand out much and living down the street I never stopped here until one fateful day. I wish they served mimosas because we would be here every weekend if they did. Not that they need them as they appear to always have a full house. The energy inside is fun and the staff is quick and very observant. Their food is southern inspired and warms my soul every time we go. I absolutely recommend the fried chicken and waffles! Though all their food is filling, heavy, and wonderful. It's worth a stop and should be a way bigger deal than it is. Best of all, they gave us all free tastes of their delicious pie at the end of our meal for FREE! That was the quickest way to my heart!
