I have met revolutionary wines for the first time since Covid-19 in the fairytale. my last experience eating in the revolution was in the restaurant during the sacramento vegan chef challenge last year, and it was a really positive experience. tonight, my partner and I shared the vegan taquitos, buffalo cauliflower, and ziti bolognese, who was easy to order online, and picking was very straight forward and the person who worked there was very friendly. I was quite disappointed when I opened the box of tacquitos and saw that there were only two small ones. not worth it, even if they were delicious. the buffalo cauliflower was however abundant (and $9 felt like a good price.) the brot was tasteful, they were beautiful and crispy, and the sosse was brownish. it reminded me more of a senfbase grill sauce than a buffalo sauce, and there was not enough of it for the whole roasted cauliflower. the ziti bolognese was really good (that was $18.) I loved that it also came with a bit walnuss pesto that made the court more interesting. overall everything was quite delicious, though too expensive. I would be more willing to pay this price if I would buy as I would get the ambiente of the restaurant (that is beautiful) as well, and would be able to throw off the tiny ten dollar taquitos if I had to be in a beautiful space. but I can wait until it's safe to dip before I check them out again.
I ordered the vegan taquitos. they were just okay. it's $10 for two tacquitos. you read it right! I also ordered the vegan charcuterie. first, this place does not know that the difference between a charcuterie plated and a crudite plated. for $16, they would think they would know the difference. second, it was rough, even the pickled veggies were rough, and they are pretty hard to screw. the crostini who came with him was hard as a rock (how do they break their teeth hard and salty! there was no vegan meat in the advertising board. in serious, Google-Baysie. lol. and there was a small wedge of vegan miyokos cheese. also the carrot was rough. the best part of this laundry plate were the olives. lol of course that was one and done. the image speaks for itself. not charcuterie. lol
When we went to rew for the first time, we had such a great meal that we came back the next weekend. they take their vegan menu items seriously and the cook puts a lot in any dish. many non-vegan restaurants can make our food look thoughtful. her menu changes from time to time, but I had the vegan laundry board (one of my favs to today,) biscuits and gravy (impossible,) impossibility stroganoff, buffalo cauliflower wing, and a vegan benedict with carrot lox. if you see something in their menu, they must try to go soon because their menu often changes.
Impressed with their presentation of my dish as well as the flavor. I had the NOT so chicken and waffles and it was amazing and filling! Excited to see how they change the menu for winter. For sure will be back!
