They were knowledgeable about the menu and able to clarify any questions I had. I tried the spicy edamame and the orange blossom roll, which I specifically asked for something flavorful and fresh. This roll was excellent and came with light sauces, just as I requested. I also ordered a fresh roll to go, which was packed perfectly and ready for me to enjoy alongside my first roll. It's a nice restaurant, and I will definitely be back.
As we were about to settle the bill, I handed over two $50 gift cards for payment. To my surprise, the waitress returned to inform me that they do not accept that payment method. I referred to their website, which clearly states they do accept it, and she attempted to reach her manager, who was not present at the restaurant, for clarification. Eventually, she came back and told me they still couldn’t accept the cards and that I had to pay for the over $100 meal out of pocket. I paid and inquired about when the manager would be in. I was told it would be the next evening. Fast forward to today, I returned with the two gift cards, my receipt, and the debit card I used for the previous payment. The staff was already aware of my situation, and the manager confirmed that they do accept gift cards. Despite this, the manager informed me they could not refund the money to my card and instead use the gift cards for payment because the credit card company would charge me $25 for the refund. I politely responded that, while I didn’t wish to sound rude, that really wasn't my concern. Due to the staff’s lack of proper training, I ended up losing $100, and they showed no willingness to rectify an error that was theirs. Their only solution was to offer me $20 in cash, which hardly resolves the issue. They’ve lost a customer and essentially took $80 from me. It’s frustrating that they are willing to give me $20 but won’t pay the $25 to refund my card and allow me to use the $100 in gift cards. For me, it’s not just about the money—it’s about their apparent indifference towards customer satisfaction. I will not return, and I will advise my friends against dining here. This experience was extremely disappointing.

My favorite Japanese spot in the downtown area they have gone through several different owners I believe but the food and service has always been solid.Great selection of Japanese plates and sushi.4.2 stars for me on this one!
The lychee martinis were on point. Rolls were fresh and big. Oysters were super small though. Really small. Other than that, everything was great. Would definitely come back again.Food: 5/5
