The glass of wine complements the sushi and adds a touch of sophistication.Kid-friendliness: Well, they do not have a children’s menu. They do the best to accommodate dietary restrictions or special request.
Oba Japanese Kitchen is one of my top 5 sushi restaurants. I’ve been to Japan, and there won’t be anything like it here in the states, but Oba is a little closer than most places. Their sashimi are fresh and no fishy smell. I ordered the Pepper Fin sashimi and it was melt in your mouth greatness. The Shiro Maguro was fresh but the fish was thinly shaved. Both had daikon with ginger and wasabi. The IZ roll was rolled tight, fresh but it did lack in flavor. I’ve been coming here for years and will remain a loyal customer. ?Dietary restrictions: Oba Japanese Kitchen accommodates everyone’s dietary needs.
Went to this place on and off since I moved to Sacramento. The price is very reasonable ,especially the bento box. It really fills you up with decent quality of food.Food: 5/5
My friends and I were staying in midtown Sacramento and went to Oba for a nearby dinner. We ordered sushi/sashimi and salmon teriyaki. The restaurant did a good job with both the sushi and the cooked food. We also enjoyed some draft Sapporo and sake. The interior is simple but comfortable. Perfect for a good, relaxed dinner at the end of a day of site seeing.
Absolutely delicious! The best Ramen in Sacramento.. every thing was very fresh and the staff is very friendly. 10/10
