We ordered 2 $198 family meals, and it was plenty filling. Tons of seafood and everyone left happy and satisfied. My favorite dishes were the yang Chau fried rice and the walnut shrimp. The deep fried crab and lobster was tasty, but a little too battered for my liking. I still ate it all :
Authentic food by authentic Chef 's. There are a gazillion chinese restaurants to go to in Sacramento. But there 's only one true authentic Hong Kong style restaurant serving the best chinese food and that would but New Hong Kong Wok. <br/ <br/ The restaurant is located on a long strip mall on Freeport Blvd that has some parking issues. There is limited parking spaces right outside the restaurant so you may need to park on the street or around the building. When you first walk into the restaurant you will notice that there 's a man with a big cleaver to your right cutting some roasted pork and duck. He will be your new best friend!<br/ <br/ New Hong Kong Wok serves the best bbq pork, duck, roasted pork 'hai nam ' chicken. They do offer all of these as a sample appetizer so make sure to order this.<br/ <br/ Are you craving for rice or noodles? Most restaurants will do wonders at one or the other, but this place does great with both. Give their wonton dumpling soup a try, the broth is full of flavor and the dumplings are freshly made. If you don 't know what to order for dinner, try ordering one of their family style dinners. It 'll give you a variety of things so you don 't have to drill yourself over what to get. If you feel adventurous, ask what specials they have, it 's on the walls of the restaurant written in Cantonese. Happy dining!
This is our go to place when its kinda late and we dont wanna rush in a restaurant thats gonna close soon. Its easy to park your car here at night in my opinion, when all the neighbor business are closed. We order Fu Jian fried rice (around 8 or 9 something), Hai Nan chicken over rice for $7.99 (I think), Fresh bean curd with mushroom and the deep fried fish. I love the price here. Its way too good for the delicious tasty chinese food, totally worth it. We even have leftover for tomorrow morning because it was too much for 2 people. However the service was decent. The young chinese guy is nice. He didnt let the language barrier affect his friendly service. I would highly recommend this to any friends or family crave for chinese food and want to eat it at night time. I dont need to say I’ll be back because thats too obvious lol.
My family goes here to celebrate big occasions. It's one of our favorite Cantonese restaurant in Sacramento and no other place have yet to beat it. Some of the reviews rated poor service, but the food just keep patrons like my family coming back for more and more!
My Dad's number one goto Chinese restaurant in South SacramentoLooks like one of several strip mall places along Freeport Blvd.
