Quiet good. Nice little hole in the wall, I'm all for helping out the small guy. Bacon chees burger juicy and fries were nice and crispy.
Upon arriving in Sacramento at 7 PM and checking into the Day's Inn on Jiboom Street, I called Little Joe's around 7:30 PM to inquire about their closing time. Despite their advertised closing time of 9:30 PM, I was reassured that they would not close before 8:45 PM. When we arrived at 8:15 PM, we were rudely informed by a male employee that they were closed, with another older man in the kitchen confirming this. I mentioned that I had called ahead and was promised service for two "T Bone dinners", but they claimed to have no knowledge of our call. They also mentioned that as the restaurant had only made $100 for the evening, they decided to close early. This treatment left a sour taste in our mouths, prompting us to end our 50-year relationship with this establishment. If this is how they typically treat their loyal customers, it is no surprise that their business is suffering. I will be sharing my experience with others, and I highly doubt they will be able to stay open for much longer. Rest in peace, Joe.
The chili burger was delicious! My husband's steak was tender and full of flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Good old fashion food and service. The key word is 'good '. Both the food and the service were great. I was glad as I was hoping it would be in this fun piece of Sacramento history. It is my new favorite place to meet friends and clients for breakfast when I am in town.
