This is a decent Mexican restaurant. I wanted it to be better though. I tried the Number 2 plate which comes with one cheese enchilada, one Chile relleno, and one beef taco, with rice, beans, salad and soup. Of the three mains, my favorite was the beef taco. It was solid. Next would be the Chile relleno. I love Chile rellenos, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this one. It was okay, but a bit soggy. Last place goes to the enchilada. I just didn’t like the sauce, not sure why, it just didn’t seem enchilada-ey. The rice and beans needed salt, but were otherwise good. I am not sure why they serve soup with this plate, it seemed more Italian than Mexican to me. Overall, I’d come back, probably for the tacos, maybe try something else.
Love the chips. Amazing tacos. Fresh ingredients and the shell is so incredibly crispy. The service was great except for when we realized they lost our order. That explained the long wait for our meals. The food usually comes out quite fast.
Family owned restaurant that makes you feel like family. Food is authentic with no words created in the dictionary on how out of this world good it is. Watch out for the salsa if spicy isn't your thing, it's wonderful so long as you like spicy. I have yet to find something that I didn't love and I only wish my stomach could store more food so that I could keep eating it. This place is truly a Sacramento treasure and prices are reasonable for what you get.
Chili verde was pretty tasteless. Enchilada was good. Wouldn't make it a point to come back.Food: 2/5
