Burr's Fountain - Sacramento

Goodies fashion soda fountain food. Had Egg salad on wheat, was very nice. Also the Turkey Veggie soup was loaded with stuff and very hot. Ice cream is premium to say the least. All around good experience

What's better than watching food being prepared on television? Watching food being prepared right in front of you. Lucky for me, all of the counter seats were available during my lunchtime visit. I plopped down on a comfy, padded stool and tuned out the nonsense of the boisterous crowd behind me. I instead focused on my sandwich and soda fountain options, trying not to salivate down the front of my hoodie.

I have loved this place for years! It reminds me of the soda fountains that used to be in drug stores years ago, except the food is better! And the servers are ALWAYS friendly. Great homemade soups, too. And you can get a true Lime Rickey!

This place was a fun mom pop style sandwich and ice cream joint. I got the Italian Salami sandwich, strawberry sherbet and a coffee. This was a quick bite before I went shopping and it sure hit the spot. It can quickly get crowded with a couple families coming it for some ice cream, but it doesn't ever seem to be packed for long.

Burr's was a childhood favorite for me and my brothers always got hot dog sandwiches and ice cream cones. Still love it over twenty years later! Sweet staff, really reasonable prices and a small town feel that make it a great spot for families and groups with kids. Fun and popular spot to celebrate after a swim meet or little league game.
