Blimpie. During my youth, my sandwich adventures were limited to Togo's and Erik's deli. As I got older, I explored the warm haven of Quizno's and settled for the average experience at Subway. However, seventeen years ago, I had never even considered trying Blimpie. It was exactly seventeen years ago at this very spot that my young hands first held a soft, white Blimpie roll on the lawn of Sutter's Fort. What I remember from that day has remained true during my second and third visits over the last two days: 'this tastes like a sandwich.' To be honest, this is a good sandwich at a fair price and in a convenient location. The person working behind the counter is friendly and efficient. It may not be an artisanal creation with free-range ingredients or a trendy arugula and quinoa bowl, but it's a classic sandwich. Enjoy it for what it is.

It's a sandwich shop, and I must say that the staff is very helpful. The bread is fresh, and the ingredients are delicious. I also pay attention to the cleanliness of the establishment, not just behind the counter but throughout the entire place. I was pleased to find that it was clean, including the restroom.
