Hintermaisalm - Saalbach

Happy to say that the staff was super friendly, the food and drinks came very fast, everything was delicious, and the view is incredible! They offered vegetarian and gluten-free options - could not be happier with the decision to stop here for our lunch break!

This Restaurant is connected to the hotel and gets fully booked early, so book ahead for dinner to avoid disappointment. It’s in Hinterglemm not Saalbach. The lift closes at 21:30 hours or just take the toboggan ride back down!!!

We are from Australia and we don't speak German, so we couldn't read the menu, but we just looked at what other people had ordered and told the waitress we would have the same. We played menu roulette like this each day for a few days, and we always ended up with an incredible meal. I still think about the spinach dumplings and the mixed salad (as we found out what they were from someone who spoke both English and German). We loved sitting outside watching the skiers come down, and we also enjoyed a few hot chocolates inside when it was a bit cold to sit outside. The interior was beautiful too. We experienced very good service, and would recommend this place to anyone. Keep in mind that the ski resort food in Australia is basically slop and you have to line up for a long time to receive it, so anything would be better however, this lunch spot even competes with my favourite normal cafes in Australia. I loved it!

Of all the Alms we visited during our stay, this is the one we enjoyed the most. Very quick service, super food (the Grostl and Apfel Strudel are wonderful) and affordable too. Would return in a heartbeat.
