Restaurante O Farol

Had a good meal in this restaurant and was reasonably expensive. Had garlic shrimps that are very delicious and of good quality for beginners we shared. Main dishes were the sardines and grilled pork belts, which were cooked both tasty and well, and...generated in portions. We ordered a bottle of white wine and still water to accompany, the wine recommended by our waiter was excellent and the whole bill was only €45! Very reasonable for the quality of food and service.

I was in the color restaurant I was served by a strong keerl with green eyes I don't remember well its names, but I think he's rafael, in addition to the service, the exemplary, very comic and the drinks he makes are very beautiful.

Went to O Farol on 22 September for the annual September festival. Had been before and it is very good value if you have the dressed crab. However arrived early , 1220,to get outside table . Took a while for our order to be taken...and by 1315 all tables full.. Then no olives arrived.Then when crab came, no accompanying toast. Throughout the excellent meal the service was very poor, and staff very inattentive. Would recommend going as early as you can in September as crabs seem to be bigger at the start of the month.. We will not be going back until next September, as have had better service in several other local restaurants.

While vacationing around the Portuguese West Coast, this restaurant caught my eye due to the excellent view over the beach of São Martinho do Porto. As starts we had boiled shrimp, as it usually shows the quality of the shellfish served, and it was very...good. Chilled as it should be, with enough salt and a hard shell. Perfectly boiled. Then I tried the large crab (Sapateira). Slightly over cooked, but flavorful. The desserts were not homemade, and you could see the cheap industrial look over the lemon tart. Almost when we were leaving the place, as we were seated with a view over the kitchen, someone not dressed in kitchen clothes and no protection on the head entered the kitchen. Even if it was the owner doing an inspection there, this should never happen and it leaves a bitter end on my visit.
