Forest And Vale - Ryedale

During our stay, we dined at the hotel's restaurant and breakfast room, which lacked atmosphere due to its large size. The staff were excellent and accommodating, but the fish and chips were not recommended, with too much batter on a small piece of fish and bland chips. However, the breakfast the next day was a highlight, with the kipper and black pudding deserving special recognition for their outstanding taste. The hotel's location is ideal, close to shops and a short drive from the stunning moor landscape, making the drive to Whitby a dream.

The hotel was very impressive and had a large free car park. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, we chose to stay here for its proximity to the NYMR, which was just a short walk away. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, although I would have preferred a self-service option for items like fruit and cereal, as everything had to be ordered at the table. Our room was on the ground floor with a view of a wall, and customers walking past from the car park was not ideal. Despite these minor inconveniences, we would consider staying here again.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. The room was great - clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast had plenty of choices and was well cooked and presented. I also had dinner at the restaurant a couple of nights and again, the staff were very good and the food was delicious and well presented. I don't think you would be disappointed staying here.

We visited the Restaurant of Forest Vale Hotel in Pickering during our holiday in North Yorkshire. We were shown to a table for two by friendly staff upon arrival. We selected our food from the Menu and ordered drinks to go with the food. The food was served in good time and it had been well prepared and arranged nicely on plates. All in all we had an enjoyable Dining Experience and we have no hesitation in recommding this Restaurant to family members and/or friends.

I visited here with some friends. The ambiance of the place is excellent. The staff are brilliant, some how always being available, without been overbearing. We ate in the restaurant and the food was superb. I am already looking forward to returning again in the future.
