You can have it inside or out. They've set up a community library outside so you can take a book and leave another in return. The owner has sourced a great range of gluten free and healthy food and ethical products. There's plenty of reading material while you linger over your coffee.
Very good coffee supported by friendly staff and great service. Little convenience store with a lot of healthy and locally sourced items.
First, caution. This is an unpatrolled beach; there are no life guards. The sea can be very rough here and unsafe to swim in for the unwary. The beach here faces the open sea and not the bay. I like coming here to swim for abalone (it requires a fishing license). There are rock pools where you can take a dip and swim with the baby sharks and small fish. Thick kelp weeds cover a big section of the swimming area. If you are very lucky you can see a weedy sea dragon (a relative of the sea horse). The sea is magnificent to look at.
Great selection of organic, vegan and locally produced products. Made some ripper coffees that we all enjoyed. The woman I spoke to about the store was super friendly too, letting me know that Kombucha is best drunk out of a glas! Also sells some high quality meat.
We love seeing the growth in our new favourite local the No 16 Beach cafe. From a few coffees and the paper, the General Store is growing weekly before our eyes! Last week there were sandwiches - woo hoo. The General Store has quickly become popular with locals and visitors who want a decent coffee with every choice of milk going, a delicious muffin, great bread, and organic and healthy snacks and general supplies. There is a bit of a queue for coffee but we're all on hols, so who cares, and it is always lovely to strike up an interesting conversation with others whilst waiting. Fantastic to have you at the end of the walk and whilst No 16 Surf beach is decidedly un dog friendly on account of the Hooded Plovers, the dogs are very welcome here.
