The Solent Inn - Rura

The number of times I had to walk past The Solent on our recent holiday without going in doesn't bear thinking about. It looked like such a warm vibrant place that I made it my holiday mission to pay this pub a visit. We came late afternoon so probably not as vibrant as it undoubtedly would have been later, but we enjoyed this friendly welcoming place nonetheless. The real ales I had, Hobgoblin Gold and High and Dry were both well kept and therefore tasted as good as they should. I'm sad I couldn't have visited more and spent a longer visit.

Great olde world pub, real open fire, lovely Sunday roast and the beer was fab, well worth a visit.

A traditional pub with a beautiful sun garden. open fire in winter. good selection of beer, apple wine and spirits. at home cooked food that is really delicious. this inn is located just outside the center of ryde, but worth a visit.

Beautiful little pub from the beaten track if they don't want the drongs that go the big busy pubs in ryde. beautiful small pub garden with table umbrellas for shade. had the loaded fries with pulled pork cheese, which were lushly plentiful. was just £11.35 for her plus my pint of stowford. lady behind bar with purple hair was very welcoming and helpful. also good service and will definitely come back. easy 5.

Beautiful small pub with a beautiful outside area to sit. was beautiful and quiet in summer and the staff are very friendly. ordered a few different variations of the loaded fries and was very impressed and can not recommend them enough. large portions and fresh ingredients!
