Lunch with friends: rustic but well-kept location, surrounded by greenery, ideal for a Sunday outside door. Young, attentive and kind staff. quality ratio - good price. on the high and low kitchen: wines (of their production), appetizers and delicious desserts. the first and second nothing exceptional: traditional dishes (as you expect on a farm) but the quality of the execution could be improved. for example, we ate a risotto that was hard and excessively salty and a very simple roast that arrived cold; braised ravioli instead very good. larger portions: a bit of fear for a farm!
Not easy to find, but thanks to Google Maps everything becomes simple. From the outside we see a large building in the middle of the countryside, among vines and lavender plants, woods and meadows. Inside, the atmosphere is rustic but welcoming. The mise en place has fabric tablecloths but paper napkins. The glasses for the wines are adequate. The bread basket also offers flat bread with aromas, homemade bread and small muffins with pork, rosemary or other flavors ... Nice idea! The menu of the day included appetizers with home-grown cured meats, fried dumplings, cotechino in bread crust, vegetable pie, pickled vegetables, mushrooms and flowers in batter. We paired these with a brut sparkling wine: L'Altana, a classic method with a subtle but persistent perlage, citrus and green apple notes. Made up of 85% pinot noir grapes and 15% chardonnay grapes. Pleasant and I would say perfect for the appetizers, but also for the risotto with beetroot and fondue ... very good! The first courses: after the fuchsia risotto they brought us the traditional braised ravioli ... excellent! For main courses: pork rolls with prunes, old-fashioned roast beef with baked potatoes and cabbage salad. To accompany these delights we have chosen a barrique red wine: Nero su nero of 2018 from the Buscaglia winery. with persistent flavors of red berries, cherries, chocolate and vanilla ... good tannins and strong flavor. There was also a menu for vegetarians with courgette parmigiana and provolone in puff pastry, vegetables and egg in purgatory. The desserts were not far behind and we could choose between: the bewitched apple (cooked at low temperature with a liqueur), pear and chocolate tart, panna cotta with figs or creme brulee. The service was fast enough (although no one here, not even us ... we were in a hurry). Good raw materials used ... I will return with the same or with other friends. I almost take them all together for a big table ... why not?

Really great experience... excellent food and service expertly cooked with breathtaking views of the hills of the Oltrepó. Honest price and generous portions, try to believe? ?
