Rio Grande Grill And Tap Room - Ruidoso

We arrived at our reservation time only to be informed they don’t accept reservations. Not sure where the disconnect between Open Table and Rio Grande is but we were left with the option to either wait 90 minutes for a table or go elsewhere. I checked the FB page for this restaurant, because the hostess claimed this is an ongoing issue and they tried to get Open Table to remove them but there was NO mention of any issue on their FB page, and they post frequently so clearly not very concerned with getting the word out. I’ll never go back!

As soon as I said I have a reservation they said “Our table isn’t legit. Sorry. It’s a 2 hour wait” couldn’t even accommodate us.

Not prepared for individual with handicap — most setting upstairs

Every time we visit Ruidoso we eat at Rio Grande at least twice. Food is delicious, and they have a great assortment of beers. Staff is accommodating and prompt, and we love that it is kid-friendly. We always leave The Rio Grande Grill happy and satisfied.

The food was excellent. Service was adequate but not exceptional. We will go again. Parking is hard.
