Hillmorton Fish Saloon - Rugby

As you get older we can’t eat large portions anymore. So going for the small fish and chips, plus mushy peas. Just under £16.00. Lovely. Good friendly service, and no major waiting time. Admittedly this is collection, but around £10 less than a delivered Indian meal.

I’ve got to say you rarely get a bad portion of fish from this establishment . Staff are lovely, friendly and engaging. Fish isn’t cheap these days, so you want it right. Keep up the good work.

I very rarely go to chip shops, but it was my birthday so fancied a treat, i ordered fish and chips around 6pm and was extremely disappointed as the chips were dry and were cooked either earlier in the morning or the day before,and had to throw them away, the batter on the fish was chewy and no way was it fresh.

Visited Tuesday night yet again excellent food and service put an order in for 6.30 and was walking out at 6.33 quality of the selection of food was yet again excellent. Not sure of the guy's name but yet again excellent service 10 out of 10. Cheers peeps.

I used to live in Rugby until about 20 years ago and I always came to this restaurant for their Donner Kebabs because they were excellent. I have never found a kebab that compares to theirs, even though I travel all around the country and have tried them in many places. The kebabs are so good that when I visit my family, I actually take 2 large trays of meat home with me and freeze them so I can make my own at home. In other places, I can only find the horrible processed stuff that only tastes half decent after I've had a few drinks.
