Ladysmith Hotel - Rue Theodore

We've passed by the Ladysmith Hotel so many times on the way to the cottage yet never stopped in. A number of people, including fellow cottagers, have mentioned it so we thought we would pop in on a Saturday morning for a breakfast before checking out the Ladysmith summer flea market close by.Breakfast was a standard fare. The eggs (scrambled), bacon (crisp), toast (white), home fries (tender inside, crispy out) hit the spot for me and my partner really enjoyed her Western sandwich. The decor was rustic, quaint, somewhat dark and more suitable for a Thursday wing night, which they do have and which we'll check out next. Service was friendly and efficient. We're going back...

We go to Ladysmith Hotel on occasion for Thursday wing night. The wings are very tasty and lots of meat on them. Generally have a side ceasar salad which is large enough for two people. Also my wife and I each have a Dozen wings each.I prefer Honey garlic but also have mild medium And I think suicide but I don't have those. Wash it all down with a jug of draft. Great place to meet with friends.

We have a cottage near by and pop in here to watch the odd NHL game. Very family friendly. Great food - pubfare - everything you would expect. Friendly staff. Lots of stuffed fish and trophy animals hang from the walls. Great hangout.

Great place to eat with the family for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nothing fancy but if you are hungry and looking for a great little restaurant then check it out. Make sure to try the poutine with your club sandwich or if you are there Thursday's check out wing night!

So we decided to go to the "famous" wing night. It was very busy and loud. Service was ok with a few hiccups. We had asked for bbq wings for the kiddo and they brought him mild wings. Ask for a chocolate milk for hubby who was sweating buckets from the suicide wings and the milk was past date. The waitress suggested he drink it any way since it was only a couple of days (seriously? ?!!) And they seemed to only have two waitresses for our side so to get a water pitcher refilled took a lot of excuse me's and interruptions. And the "large" nachos are not large at all and very soggy and muahy. All in all it was ok. For all the busyness it took less than 25 minutes to start getting food out for our table of 6.
