My wife, who hails from Albuquerque, has dubbed the queso on Virginia nachos "queso water." So you might want to save your chips from the salsa to soak up that queso water instead. The chile relleno was decent, but the red sauce was rather bland. On the bright side, compared to places like Plaza Azteca, El Jaripeo, and Guadalajara, this is not a bad option. Unfortunately for my stomach, none of these would measure up in Albuquerque or Colorado Springs, which are where my taste buds truly belong. Just a disclaimer: having spent 19 years between Texas, Memphis, and Kansas City and 11 years in the Southwest, I've found the BBQ and Mexican food scene in Virginia to be quite disappointing.

We dined there for lunch yesterday, and it was quite disappointing. My nachos came with watery cheese and grease pooled at the bottom of the plate. They did remake them for me, but in hindsight, I wish I had just sent them back. My husband ordered the fried beef chimichangas, which he thought were just okay. By the evening, we both felt unwell and nauseous. We definitely won't be returning.
