Calypso's Caribbean Cuisine

Wanted to try something different! Surprised my Big sister with a birthday dinner. I must say I was very pleased with my choice! She too expressed her gratitude and love for the food and service we received. Which was exceptional and spoke volume being that my sister is hearing impaired. The staff went above and beyond to communicate with her and make her feel welcome and special on her big day!! The food was good as well to top it off. We will definitely be dining here again soon!! Walked in and was greeted nice by staff, I wanted to order from the displayed food however it did not look fresh and the rice looked very burned. It surprised me since it was very ovious and staff was just walking around it and not bothered about it. Decided to order instead from the menu, thinking it would be better or more fresh. Whats on the picture came up to over 50$. Rice was also burned and hard as a rock, never have I ever left a review for a restaurant. But please for the price you would expect better. Chicken tastes ok, wasnt too bad but still also dry.

Two days before new years, at night the people were extremely kind and went out of their way to prepare food for me and my family. The food tasted great and the place was very clean. A great place to go for good food and people that care for their customers.

Oh geez and we wanted to try this place . I heard the commercial on the radio . I get there tonight at about 7 . The waitress has 3 tables , she engages very nice . I stood by the food area and nobody asked if I needed something. I ended up leaving as I guess they were too busy

Ok so my wife and I where craving Latin food so we thought we would try this place out. Well we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and service since the place doesn't look like much from the outside. However the food and service was great.My wife had Peccadillo and rice with chic peas and I had mofongo with roast pork oh my god the flavors where amazing.. definitely our new favorite place for Caribbean food. The have a very welcoming staff which pointed out their Wednesday karaoke nights and Sundays are salsa night so if your into that stuff it gives you another reason to try them out for which ever reason you do in my opinion you won't be sorry.
