Gard Public House - Royal City

I recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and found it to be a mixed experience. The food was quite impressive, earning a solid 4 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Fish and Chips, Pulled Pork Tacos, and the Burger. Each dish had its own unique flavor and was enjoyable. However, the service left much to be desired, which I would rate at just 2 out of 5. It felt like the staff was overwhelmed and inattentive during our visit. On a positive note, the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, scoring a 4 out of 5. Overall, while the food was definitely the highlight of the evening, the service could use some improvement. The price per person falls within the $20–30 range, making it a reasonable option for a casual dinner.

Wow! Wow! WOW! 1. The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing! Packed with flavors. I noticed in the pictures the pickles looked homemade and they are. I was brave and asked to try. They were not the typical bread and butter. So I slapped them on the sandwich and I'm so glad I did. 2. Ruben Sandwich the kraut was delicious and the corned beef melted in the mouth. The place has character. The staff is friendly. One complaint, the bathroom. While it was clean, there was an overwhelming smell of urine. I feel horrible about this kind of honesty. Gard Public House is by far the best public house I've ever been to. The interior is smart and simple. The host and servers are very accommodating. I never had to look for assistance and simultaneously had room to enjoy my glass of wine and a savory bite to eat.dadwwe Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
