Stuart's Family Grille - Roxboro

I visited Stewart’s today for barbecue since Smoky Dave’s was closed. I noticed they’ve changed their barbecue brand, and unfortunately, it's not to my liking. The barbecue was excessively wet and had a strong vinegar flavor. The hush puppies were hard and brown on the outside but still uncooked on the inside, which has been a consistent issue. I even tried cooking them in my air fryer to improve the texture, but they still didn’t taste good and had a bitter flavor. Overall, I was disappointed with our $14 meal.

I had a great experience at this restaurant for breakfast. It was my first visit, and the food was hot and fresh. The vibe is similar to that of a diner, so be ready to place your order quickly. I recommend asking for a take-out menu, as it was much easier to decide what to get than just looking at the board. The woman at the front was very friendly as well.

A wonderful spot to dine. No issues at all. The food is excellent. It has a laid-back and casual atmosphere, with some local history to appreciate.

A local favorite, my mother loves their crinkle-cut fries, and I really enjoy their donut rounds. The atmosphere is also very family-friendly.

Worst hamburger I've ever had and definitely not worth the money. Staff was very nice
