Balbi - Rovinj-Rovigno

Lovely fresh food, waiting staff understood gf and advised what I could eat.

I had the mussels in white wine sauce with tomatoes with gluten free bread (came from plastic wrapping -my best guess from taste is Schär). My mum had the lamb chops with vegetables, also glutenfree. The food was really great the bread was fine.

Much of the menu is naturally gluten free. I took my Celiac travel restaurant card in Croatian, and the waiter knew right away what I was talking about. He was able to very clearly tell me what was gluten free on the menu, and what could be modified to be gluten free. I had grilled sea bass, grilled vegetables, and mozzarella and tomato salad.

I had the cuddles in white wine sauce with tomato with gluten-free brot (came made of plastic packaging - my best guess of taste is skinny). my mother had the lamb aprons with sweet, also gluten-free. eating was really great, the brot was good.
