Castello Di Luzzano - Rovescala

Dinner and breakfast at the farmhouse Dogana del Castello di Luzzano, on the border between Lombardy and Emilia. Excellent dinner, simple but genuine cuisine, accompanied by the excellent wines of the adjacent cellar.

La Dogana, a beautiful farm on top of the hill, surrounded by the vineyards and colors of autumn. The atmosphere is very welcoming and genuine and generous cuisine. The top of the proposal comes immediately: the selection of cold cuts and fried dumpling accompanied by a delicious black Pinot of the estate is unmissable. To follow are delicious ricotta candies and spinach with butter and homemade sage, as well as risotto with red wine. Certainly not easy to reach but the “journey” is worth it. Good service, friendly staff, average prices.

I found myself really good because the location is very beautiful. The extremely kind staff and the quality of high lunch. There was no sin and everything was wonderfully well done. I'll definitely be back by August.

I returned to this restaurant, even very difficult to find, because I remembered it very good and very sought after, while this time was very disappointing. We start with meat appetizers: four slices of cup and four of salami, three slices of fine cut cotechino (we were in two) and four meatballs of not know that, two slices of cheese cake and, less bad we were only in two, all very measured. The first were then alone or risotto with the ossuage or pumpkin tortelli, for second cheese cutter. We took one and one, but, I don't think that one faces so much, we came from seventh Milan to eat only that. Also because my biker friend who had brought me so long before, these foods would not have eaten them for sure: poor choice. They were good, for charity, but not to justify also the two hours that we were sitting at the table and the km routes. I don't know what he paid, because I didn't ask, but the wait and the way to find him was definitely not worth it. Beautiful surroundings, with the vineyards now colored of fire, but there are many others in the area, of better restaurants. This time : rejected!!! I'm sorry!

We stayed at lunch with some friends on December 7. Great hospitality and kindness. Excellent starters, among the first to try again the ravioli and risotto, quality seconds. In 5 people we spent 150 € included 4 bottles of wine. Excellent wines all in a very elegant and suggestive environment.
