Trattoria Da Gina - ROVATO

We ended up here by accident when our planned restaurant was closed for holidays, but what a lucky accident it was! We received a warm welcome and were quickly seated in the covered porch filled with hundreds of regional and national wines. The entire 30+ page wine list was Italian, with a huge selection of Franciacorta and other Lombardy wines at prices from €20+ and an excellent selection in the €40 range. I had two house specialities a perfectly cooked rare fillet with a parmesan mousse and a lovely black garlic sauce, followed by the 'Kiss of Gina ' pudding. No English menu (often a good sign! , but the staff were happy to explain. Highly recommend!

Having a dinner at Trattoria da Gina is a wonderful experience, rated top level simply because everything is at the top, starting from the courtesy of the host moving forward to a superb selection of Italian wines and, last but not least, a great food experience full of traditional Italian local recipes. Special mention well deserved by the “Manzo all’olio” and the fiorentina.

Superb restaurant well worth a visit if you're in the area. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Such a warm and welcoming place to eat.

Ogni anno organizziamo una cena tra amici in questo posto. ogni volta che l'esperienza è totale. dal vino ai vini bolliti, dal piacere del proprietario alla cura degli ambienti. ti senti a casa, ma con quel tocco di classe che rende tutto più piacevole. prossima riunione!

Accolto dal personale in un ambiente confortevole, professionale ma senza intrusioni. ottima carta di vino. materie prime di livello cotte da una mano felice! cucina tipica fedele al territorio. una piccola nota: dolce buona, ma una autoctona avrebbe concluso in modo ottimale una cena spessa!
