La Marmite - Rouvrois-sur-Othain

Each year I spend the week between Xmas and New year in the French country side looking for good restaurants with local food. This year I returned to La Marmite. The food is just great. The chef has a good feeling for meat. It 's obvious that he has a degree as a butcher. Duck, homemade paté 's, civet (rabbit stew ... all too nice. Some people may say: The restaurant has an outdated deco which i don 't mind. I 'm don 't eat of the walls you know. Or: The service a bit clumsy like picking the wrong glass for a drink. Who cares if the food is this rich. Or: The town is not even worth parking. True : La Marmite: It 's a just perfect place for lunch.

Pleasant surprise! We went there for lunch with my wife on a Sunday lunchtime. We feasted! The products are of very good quality (beef fillet skewer for me). The fries are excellent and the homemade mayonnaise is just the way I like it. We live 10 minutes from this establishment and we had never really paid attention to it, what a mistake! The staff is welcoming and friendly and the price is more than reasonable. The best way to judge is to test, not to look at the sometimes unjustified and very critical comments. Make up your own mind and believe me, you will not be disappointed! See you soon! David.

We made the baptism of our son this Sunday.. with a formula of entry campagnarde succulent local charcuterie, salad and amuse delicious mouth.. we had chosen the lasagnes for all... making home a murder, from entrance to dessert to the wine offers everything to be perfect .. without forgetting the servers and the very friendly and professional boss. very family structure healed and prices more than reasonable.
