The salsa was decent, but it lacked spice and had a strong garlic aftertaste. However, this wasn't a dealbreaker, especially considering it’s hotel food. We ordered the chicken and beef fajitas for two. As lifelong Texans, we've had our share of fajitas, but I think these were the best we've ever tasted! They were incredibly tender, warm, and perfectly seasoned. Our only critique would be that the corn tortillas were a bit tough, while the flour tortillas were soft and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the meal was presented in a way that allowed us to share the fajita meat while each having our own sides. We also ordered a sangria and a margarita, both of which we loved! The bartender kindly alerted our waiter that my drink choice might not have been ideal and recommended something else, which turned out to be perfect! Both drinks had a great amount of alcohol and were incredibly tasty. The star of the night, however, was our waiter, Isaiah. He struck the perfect balance of attentive service without being intrusive, allowing us to enjoy our conversation. He made honest and insightful recommendations that truly matched our preferences. We couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary dinner! Everything was just perfect and delicious! If you find yourself at Kalahari looking for dining options, definitely visit Cinco Ninos and be sure to ask for Isaiah!
I initially approached this restaurant with some hesitation and low expectations. Typically, I don't seek out large chain restaurants or casual dining in resorts because they often don't offer great meals. However, we decided to give this place a try for dinner since the steakhouse at the resort was quite expensive, and the Italian restaurant seemed even less appealing, reminiscent of a worse version of Olive Garden. To my surprise, our meal was quite satisfactory. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was bright and clean, and the noise level was pleasantly low. They offered complimentary, really fresh tortilla chips. We started with a fun Mexican-style shrimp cocktail and then shared a fajitas combo for our main course. While the menu doesn't venture into innovative territory, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The drink portions were generous as well. Overall, it's a solid choice for dining at the Kalahari resort.
Went for lunch and sat at the bar. Not much other then Lagers and one Amber on draft. Pleny of mixed drink options. Service was great and bartender immediately asked what I'd like to drink. The free chips and salsa where quite good. However, I ordered thesteak tacos and they weren't to good. It came with only two tacos, and it was pretty bland in flavor. Prices weren't to bad.Spend roughly $20 on my meal and one beer.
Had late dinner at this place, it?s located on the first floor of Kalahari resorts. Indoor/outdoor seating large enough space that can take many people in Friendly staff and fast service. If you like margaritas then is is the right place for you.
Mackenzie, Juan, Anfernee, and Marconi provided outstanding service during our visit. It was such a fun experience! I really wish we had a Kalahari in Oregon. This place truly feels magical, and I can’t wait to return. Your team goes above and beyond to create a special atmosphere. Thank you so much!
