Jamaica Blue - Round Hill

Wanted to order two pulled beef pies, were told that they were not available. Ordered steak sandwich and beetroot beef burger with sweet potato fries. Waitress brought out coffee in a takeaway cup. We waited about 30 mins for our meals. The burger was a joke, pattie was half the size of the bun, was tough and only just warm. The fries on the top of the bowl were luke warm. For $58 you would expect a decent lunch. Won't be returning.

Looking for a bite to eat and coffee in Valley Shopping Centre, hugely disappointed to discover that the modern way today seems for children to be permitted to behave whichever way they choose and their parents happily oblivious too.Coffee was disappointing hugely.Breakfast Muffin was nice but huge fatty bacon filled a large portion of the muffin.Staff were courteous and pleasant.

Sometimes you can't put a finger on it, but this place gave me bad vibes. Maybe it was because there was nothing vegetarian or even pescatarian in the cabinet, and hardly anything on the menu. In many places, they clearly mark things with a V for example. They offered to make a croissant with cheese and tomato (I was underwhelmed at their inventiveness!), and (although they were not to know), they put a piece of flaccid coriander on top. (That stuff is poison at the best of times.) The plastic plants would have been nice if the staff had taken the trouble to fold the leaves down to make them pretend to be plant-like. The condiments box on the table was stuffed with half-used sweeteners and litter, and although it was almost 3pm, the place badly needed sweeping out. Just little niggly things, but I was left wishing I had gone to the burger place next door. I wish I could say that I will be back to give them a second chance, but I won't.

The staff all seemed flustered even though there was hardly anyone in the store. I ordered an iced mocha to takeaway, discussed that I was happy with ice cream but didn't want cream on top and I noticed the order was correct on the screen. Paid and waited what seeemed like far too long. While waiting I noticed another customer's order had been incorrectly fulfilled - not just type of coffee but quantity!!?! Finally my simple order was ready.. there was no ice cream but plenty of whipped cream on top. I wasn't interested in wasting more time waiting for another one to be made so I just took it and left. With no ice or ice cream in my iced mocha, it was only a cool mocha! A special treat that was neither special or a treat!

The staff were lovely and extremely busy, the drinks were made to perfection at the barista. We would go back to try more things.
