Kaho - Rotterdam

Excellent service! We'll return safely. The prices were good for the food we ate and the service was very friendly....

Cairo The Ho Chinese restaurant is one of those places that are located in a non-descript, covered shopping center (in this case De Binnenhof in Rotterdam Ommoord), which you can only discover through the advice of locals. We were invited by a friend in the area to try Ka Ho. It was a pleasant surprise, because mostly the common Dutch Chinese restaurants in the Netherlands do not have much to offer, besides a cozy sit-down, courtesy service and large quantities of food. But Ka Ho rises above the general moderate food quality of these restaurants. My starter, a kind of Thai beef salad, was delicious, but the part was a little small. The main course, a Ti-Pan dish with sole, vegetables and special sauce was well prepared and delicious; Moreover, the amount was more than sufficient. The dessert, a chocolate ice cream concoction, was also delicious. Prices are moderate compared to the average high Dutch restaurant prices. The service was polite, but a bit blowing. The wrong dishes for the main courses were served at our table; fortunately, the waitress discovered her mistake in time. (In order to supplement confusion, the dishes contained the same food we ordered). But everything was smoothed. Since the shopping center is next to a metro station, parking on the parking lot is under time regime. Parking on the streets around De Binnenhof is free.

We were invited by a friend living in the area, to try Ka Ho. It was a pleasant surprise, for mostly, the common Dutchified Chinese restaurants in the Netherlands have not much to offer, beside a cosy sit-down, polite service and large quantities of food. But Ka Ho rises above the general mediocre food quality of those restaurants. My starter, a kind of Thai beef salad, was tasty, but the portion was a bit small. The main course, a Ti-Pan dish with sole, vegetables and special sauce was well prepared and tasty; furthermore, the quantity was more than sufficient.
