Guzman Y Gomez Rothwell

Guzman Y Gomez in Rothwell has consistently exceeded my expectations. I visit five times a week, and I've never had a single issue with my order. I believe people can be overly critical, especially considering that the food is always freshly prepared and isn't marketed as fine dining. It's a fantastic option for a quick meal when you're in a hurry. The staff is generally very kind, although I've noticed one manager who tends to be a bit hard on the younger employees. I've seen it happen a few times, but overall, the rest of the staff is lovely. Best, T.O.

Incredible experience! I ordered two tacos for just $3 each, without lettuce. Typically, the tacos are only half-filled because I take out about 30% of the filling (the lettuce), but tonight was a different story. These $3 tacos were packed to the brim with delicious minced meat and cheese. Such great value! I'm not sure if the woman at the counter was just being generous because I mentioned I'd attend the party they were hosting, but it made my evening! :DDDD

In the evening, my partner and I visited Rothwell GYG around 8:30 PM. The restaurant was extremely busy, but three staff members we interacted with were very pleasant and accommodating. When we approached the counter to pick up our order, we noticed it was filled with Uber Eats orders, the drive-thru line extended halfway into the parking lot, and the person taking orders was not only managing those but also handling tasks at the counter. The staff member who handed us our order was delightful and apologized for the wait, even though it wasn't necessary. I overheard them kindly directing another employee on where to find items in the cold room, which showed great teamwork. It was evident that they were doing an outstanding job, likely in the midst of a staff shortage on a busy Saturday night. The cheerful girl who came to our car had a big smile on her face. It was apparent that it was a hectic night that wouldn't be slowing down anytime soon. Whichever staff members were working that evening were truly doing a fantastic job.

Absolutely awful service. The lady on drive thru on the 3/11/24 at 8:02pm should not be in a customer service role!!! She was extremely rude to us over the speaker and at the window. And the guy on deliveries gave us the wrong drinks and looked confused about it like we were in the wrong. Mistakes happen, but should be owned up to. I’m sure he just wasn’t trained very well and is getting used to his role. That lady however was awful. Food: 4

Don’t bother going in. They completely ignore you. If you want to be served go through drive thru. Or better yet go elsewhere. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
