Wards Kitchen - Rother

We went to Wards for lunch. They have a menu board outside with the daily menu, offering simple home-cooked food which appeals to many people. The staff were very attentive. The restaurant is located on the first floor, up a steep flight of stairs, so it may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

I often stop by this restaurant while taking a stroll along the promenade or heading into town. The food is reasonably priced and homemade, providing a wholesome dining experience. Their scones are unmatched in my opinion. Despite the steep stairs, the visit is definitely worth it.

The restaurant offers a fantastic selection of freshly baked scones and cakes, along with excellent service. However, it may not be easily accessible for those with mobility issues.

This little cafe is great and they do the best home made scones. All the food is home made from cakes to lovely lunches, they also do sandwiches and snacks to order. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Been here many times before. Went this morning , coffee luke warm , asked for scone , none ready and offered a rockcake but it was yesterday's. Never drank the coffee left after a few minutes . Very disappointed.
