Our first visit to the Queens Head first impressions quirky looked alot more inviting once inside .One young lady doing bar and running the food hope she appreciated .The food was worth the wait all home cooked and great prices. Pan fried Haddock with baby potatoes and green beans £13.Drink prices were reasonable as well.

We had a good evening in a great pub in a amazing town.first time in the pub love the food.nice staff this place is one of the best we have been to in long time.

We decided to have dinner at this restaurant in the middle of the week, after arriving in the area a few hours earlier for a long weekend. It was our first time in Rye, so we weren't familiar with any restaurants and this one seemed like a decent pub based on online reviews. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing night. When we asked about the ale and cider options, we were told they had none of either. We were a bit hesitant to stay, but it was late and we were hungry, so we decided to order a lager and a Guinness. The Guinness was decent, but my cranberry juice and soda tasted strange because the bartender accidentally used tonic instead of soda. It took 20 minutes for them to replace my drink with the correct one. The food also took a while to arrive, with my special of fresh baked mackerel being delicious. However, my partner's spaghetti bolognaise was dry and lacked sauce, so he had to ask for ketchup to make it edible. To make matters worse, his glass got stuck to the sticky table when he tried to pick it up. The overall experience was very disappointing and we won't be coming back.

Do not visit this restaurant. The staff is horrible, the atmosphere is old and dirty. The lack of care is evident, with hand-written menus on A4 paper. I felt extremely unwelcome.

The menu at this restaurant was disappointing and not consistent with what was advertised online. I ordered the vegan burger, which was burnt, and the skinny chips were served cold. The meringue dessert was just okay. Overall, I would not choose to dine here again.
