Abbiamo colto l'occasione per gustare le rinomate "palle di neve" che qui sfornano anche in dimensioni più piccole ed in ogni variante. La classica schneeballen è grande quanto un pugno e spolverata di zucchero a velo, da qui il nome. Il gusto ricorda un pò le nostre frappe. Per quella più piccola si spende euro 2, 50 ma, ripeto, l'offerta di dolci è ampia.

I popped into this bakery to get a couple mini schneeballs for my friend. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and very proud that they were one of the first bakeries to make schneeballs back in 1983. She told me all about the kinds they had and then happily got me the two I wanted. Friendly place and not as crowded as some of the places nearer the market or on Schmiedegasse.
The pastry. Where light and fluffy. Small little bakery but has runs of charm. You have to go to have a light snack.
All the tourist buses empty out and the streets get jammed with shutterbugs from every continent, nice spot to duck in for a coffee and pastry.
