Am Siebersturm

Other reviews are outdated... We've stayed here often. The owner speaks perfect English. His parents who help him mornings speak enough English. They are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are relatively inexpensive and some have wonderful views...of the Tauber Valley. We don't work there, we aren't shills, just extremely pleased American customers. Do yourself a favor and give this cozy hotel a try!

DO NOT stay here if you don't speak German and don't care if you room is not cleaned daily/mind getting woken up every morning by an angry man who insists on more money. There are lots of other hotel and B&B in the area. Any...of them would be better than this place.

We visited Rothenburg in August. We parke our car outside the city walls and walked downtown . After a long car ride we had wanted to sit down and drink someting first on our path was Gafthaus am Siebersturm. There were two tables of 4...and one of 2 outdoor. There was a table of four occupied and we were whit 5 people so perfect. We sit down a nice young man takes the order. We ordered two coffees and a Coke (children wanted anything to drink). I walk in to go to the toilet. In the meantime, the young man just gives the order to his boss. I ask where is the toilet. Than the owner to my surprise say : You know what we are closet go get your drinks somewhere else I ask surprised if I can go to the toilet anyway then. No was the answer. I ask him why suddenly this weird reaction. We do not have a place for five people, he says. We geting ready to go and I told him that I find it very strange, and than he says: You know wy you have to go? I asked why? Because I do not like your face I made a picture of his place and we left. probably 2 coffee and 1 coke is too little for this cranky gentleman!Told him wil write about this on the internet because this is really not acceptable .
