Roux On Canton - Roswell

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The $1 oysters were tasty, and the salmon entree was good as well, although the risotto was slightly overcooked. It seemed like they were rushing to get the food out since there were some takeout orders on the same ticket, which led to a mix-up. The waitress handled the situation well and removed the salmon entree from the bill. The beignets were a bit too dense and could have been more airy inside, with not enough powdered sugar on top. The fried oysters were tasty but smaller than what I have had at other places. Despite being short-staffed with only one waitress/bartender, the service was pretty decent.

This was our first time on Canton Street, and there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. We decided to dine at Roux and opted for small plates since we weren't very hungry. The drinks at this restaurant are fantastic, especially the frozen margarita which comes highly recommended. We also tried the fried oysters, which were tasty, and a refreshing watermelon salad. While the watermelon was fresh and juicy, we found that there was an overwhelming amount of cilantro in the salad, which didn't quite complement the dish. Overall, we suggest stopping by Roux for drinks!

My husband and I went for lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the Lobster roll and shrimp, as well as the Steak skewers. The only problems I encountered were that the menu was dirty and should have been cleaned. There were small pieces of lettuce or some kind of green vegetable stuck on it. Also, the lobster roll was more like a hot dog bun from a supermarket and was not thick enough to hold the meat piled on top. It fell apart easily. However, the taste of the food was fantastic. The waitress was kind and accommodating, and we enjoyed sitting by the window and looking outside.

Went to Dinner tonight. Rainy Monday night, no wait. Had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravy and substituted slaw for the veggies. Meatloaf had a consistency and I liked it. Potatoes were creamy and good. Slaw had large pieces of slaw and I didnot like. We ordered Beinets and they were awful. Totally obercooked and 7 bucks. Go to the plce down the street. Much betterand only 5 bucks. Waitress was nice and food came out quickly. Thought it was a little pricey.

Had a great time at trivia night! The staff was friendly, the food and beer were good. The location is also great for a leisurely walk before or after your visit.
