I visited this restaurant on Monday, so I missed out on trying their famous short ribs, which the hostess informed me are only available on Fridays.
I had a great experience with both the service and the food at this restaurant. The brisket was quite fatty, and the moisture levels were a bit uneven, but it still turned out to be very tender and flavorful. The burnt ends were not exactly what I expected; they were more like pulled pork than true burnt ends. However, the standout dish—worthy of a five-star rating—was the mac 'n cheese. It was claimed to be award-winning, and I would definitely cast my vote for it. It was incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor. I would return just for the mac 'n cheese!
The outdoor seating is dog-friendly, which is a great plus. I have to say, their beef brisket is the best I've had among all the BBQ places I've tried. They also offer a nice selection of wine and cocktails—not overwhelming, just right. The service was excellent, and the general manager, Chris, stopped by to chat; he’s a really friendly guy. The blues music playing in the background was another highlight—just the right volume, not too loud and not too soft. In my opinion, this is the best BBQ in the greater Atlanta metro area!
Wow! I’m visiting from Texas, and I have to admit that Georgia might have us outdone with the BBQ at this place. The ribs were so tender they practically fell off the bone. The southern lasagna, which is mac and cheese topped with Brunswick stew, was absolutely divine. The service was great, and our food was served quickly. I can’t wait for my next visit to enjoy more!
