Gatsby's Landing - ROSLYN

This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites! The food is consistently fantastic, the wait staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is excellent. It's always my first choice and everyone I bring there loves it too! Their takeout is also delicious once you bring it home.

The kale caesar salad is misleadingly advertised as it contains baby kale instead of regular kale. The portion size is disappointing for the price of $17. I do not plan on dining at this restaurant again.

The chicken sandwich was dry and tough, it did not resemble a banh mi at all. It was very disappointing considering the price.

We made our reservation a week in advance, and were given a small table in a dark corner. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were told all the tables with a decent view were reserved for others. We sat in our dark corner with our $17 glass of wine. You would have thought the manager might have refilled our wine or given us an appetizer as an apology for the lousy table, but you 'd be wrong. We were give one roll each, and the bread plate was cleared....no more bread for you unless you begged. The food we ordered was quite good, but it only came with potato...veges, I guess, are not their thing. Hey, for $40 entrees, you expect a broccoli floret...um, no. All in all....no, I 'm not going back....

Food was good, Service from the server was also good. but i don't know if it was just me or because we were Asian, the person who looked like a manager checked on other tables multiple times and he only visited us once...
