I never had sushi before and never considered myself a possible fan but this place changed my mind. Located on the main walking street, minutes from the train station, wabiwabi is a very nice restaurant in Japanese style. You can choose to sit at...either regular or high tables. The kitchen is fairly open and you can spy on the food you are about to eat in a few minutes. Nigiri, maki, sashimi, inside-out rolls and more. Salmon, tuna, shrimp, crab, chicken and more. The menu is fairly long and you'll need a few visits before tasting it all. My personal favourite is the tempura chicken inside out roll. Service is very nice even though the contact is usually minimal. But the quality of the service doesn't leave you wanting more. Price-wise the place is good, you pay a bit more than if you went to a restaurant of a similar quality that serves traditional local cuisine, but it's not so expensive. Especially if you are up for sushi.
One of the very best sushi restaurants in the city of Roskilde. They have a special bar athmosphere with high tables aswell as regular tables. Their sushi rolls are very delicate and refined.
Food is OK. We chosed all eat you can from menu' BUT the waiter told that it will start with selections from kutchen rather than that we chosed. That is what was in the announcement thay had. Sushi was ok, didnt like rice papirs, where...there were too much green so few creb and salmon.. You dont get the value for the money you pay, better places in city for for Roskilde section is to my surprise better than Islands Brygge..
A good, and rich menu of Japanese cuisine. A place I have, with success taken many a sushi-sceptic, and they have been converted. Even if your'e not as good a seller as me, they have normal food as well. I say normal. It's still Japanese...cuisine, so quite ordinary it is not, but good? Definitely. Be aware, the Maki is a bit small in the boxes, so I did well upon ordering extras with my menu at my last visit. I'd say a box would count as normal pieces. The tuna last time was the best I ever had. The back yard is a bit loud if there are many guests.
