Buffet Coral Platja, Roses, Spain

No es un supermercado grande,pero tiene de todo para salir del paso con lo necesario.Trabajadoras/es muy amables

Given the number of restaurants in which I eat, it is relatively unusual for me to find one with which I am sufficiently inspired to make a Trip Advisor Report on one. but the Buffet Restaurant at the Hotel Coral Platja in Roses was such a good find, that I would feel selfish were I to keep it to myself! We stayed in roses for a week at the northern end of the town above the Port. The Hotel Coral Platja is at the opposite end of the beach, so we had walked some way (parking being impossible) before reaching it. We passed a good many restaurants (some of which we sampled), but were looking for something 'out of the ordinary '. So when we discovered somewhere offering a 3 course buffet for €17 , we just had to investigate. Compared to most of the restaurants on the sea front, this was deserted in other words, there were a number of empty tables. Usually one would interpret this as meaning that savvy people had given it the 'thumbs down ', but we had walked a long way, were hungry and decided to give it a try. You buy tickets from the Hotel Reception desk and hand it to the person at the entrance, choose your table and the rest is up to you. There is an amazing selection of mouthwatering cold and hot dishes to suit almost any gastranomic preference, of which you can make whatever you want and as much as you want into your starter and similarly for the main course. The desert selection is more limited, but to be honest, I only needed something sweet to clean my pallete, and what was there was more than adequate to do this. Of course, we all know that places like this make their profits on the wine. Not so here! Whilst the selection is not 'haute cuisine ' standard, we had quite an acceptable bottle of red wine for about €13. All in all, the meal cost less than €50, which was amazing value for money, especially considering what else was available on the sea front for a similar amount. The only thing that puzzled us was how come this gem of a restaurant is not more widely known? We still don 't know, but it was too good not to share! So next time we are in Roses, if we do go again, guess where we will go for a meal at least one evening? The Buffet Restaurant, Hotel Coral Platja! Hope to see you there!

Supermercado limpio y bien abastecido. Ofrece una sorprendente cantidad de productos alemanes.

Ahorro muy pequeño con lo más necesario, muy cerca de la playa. Hay agua fría y, sobre todo, se pueden obtener cantidades mayores a precios relativamente bajos. En general, no te puedes quejar, muchos artículos son un poco más caros de lo habitual.
