Ihop - Rosemead

We took pancakes of bananas and strawberries and pancakes. Both my friend and I enjoyed breakfast and the waiter was so nice and friendly and was so helpful. I didn't want glaze and cream on my pancake, so my pancake seems a little easy. It was so delicious and fluffy.

IHOP is a chain restaurant on Rosemead plaza. We came here on Monday morning to grab breakfast. We had their special buttermilk chicken and pancakes, fresh fruits and coffee. You know a great pancake house when you taste one and unfortunately IHOP isn't one of them. Pancakes are somewhat fluffy but significantly lacks the full thickness, firmness and fullness of a great pancake. On the good side, their coffee, chicken breast and mixed cut fruits were good. Service was moderately (under 16 mins after order) fast. Staff were amiable, competent and professional. This is my only second visit to an IHOP restaurant in years and was disappointed yet again. Overall, I had good experience with the service and staff but was deeply, deeply dissapointed with their ? pancakes. I think they can improve with the type of flour and ingredients they use.

Service is kind of abysmal. Patrons are having to flag down employees to pay. Sat waiting for well over twenty minutes to place our order?. And after which we promptly had basically what we ordered. Kind of. I wouldn?t describe their French toast as French toast? by any metric of imagination. Bottom line, they seem under staffed. Manager just playing on his phone. Took me twenty minutes just to flag an employee down to pay.

I waited for about 20 minutes just to place my togo order, i watched as the servers would just look at me and sit other guest and continue to ask ?are you a to go order? and failed to take my order. Once they did take my order they had be wait again to pay, i would of like to go out and run an errand while i was waiting for my order but i couldn?t as they didn?t take my payment right away. This was the most frustrating experience.
