We tried a loaded baked potato and a BBQ sandwich, and both were quite tasty. The meat was juicy and flavorful, although the BBQ sauce had a unique twist—almost reminiscent of maple syrup. It wasn't bad, just different from what I anticipated.
Jake's restaurant never lets me down! The meals are consistently delicious and affordable. It’s far better than the Dairy Queen just a few blocks away!
The grilled chicken salad we enjoyed for lunch was excellent!
Quaint, authentic, local place in the back of an antique store! I had a hamburger (ate a lot of my fries before I took the pic : ...the portions are hearty. My friend had the chicken fried hamburger which was unique and tasty. The prices are reasonable. Everything is made to order by the former Marine, BBQ champ, Jake. He's low key, cool and witty. His daughter manages the antique store and they are delightful. Places like this are hard to come by. Definitely worth the drive for the whole experience! Note: 1. Not ideal for those watching their waistlines or vegetarian. 2. Cash only. 3. Wheelchair entrance, but bathrooms are not accessible. 4. Highchairs available.
Doesn 't matter what you get, it 's all fantastic. From the burgers with chicken fried cheese to steak fingers to the home made fries and mashed potatoes. Don 't miss out on this small town hidden gem.
