The other day we went to this shameful place to have a coffee. After being served the waiter spent his whole time outside smoking cigarettes right next to us and having fun with a few locals. When we wanted to pay I found the price a bit expensive so I kindly asked for the bill again (we haven’t been given it previously, they just said the price to have a look at the prices but it was a handwritten piece of paper made by the waiter.I said that I meant the proper bill. The answer was:”we dont have that”.Doubtlessly in 2019 it’s a bit weird but I “accepted”the answer excluding the rude and unasked reflections on our comments since they started to make fun of us namely. After leaving the place behind I popped back for a minute to have a quick look at the name of the restaurant. When they saw it suddenly the barman(probably the owner came to me and said that I was not allowed to take any photos at his place. This was an interesting and ridiculous statement since the square is a common area and anybody can obviously take pictures there. Then he started threatening me and making signs arm in arm with the mentioned waiter. He said:”if you make any comment on the internet I will find you”!In my life i have been in many exciting situations and I was not really scared but to be honest was a bit surprised: Does anyone think that threats are acceptable from anybody especially a staff member who works in the restaurant trade as a waiter/barman/owner/whoever? I heard that there is no such thing as bad publicity but this is absolutely unacceptable. I’m asking how is this possible nowdays in a well known and civilized European city where many nationalities are supposed to get friendly and decent service which is one of the main attractions of this nice area? How do these people survive at all in the middle of a town where plenty of hardworking restaurants competing and sharing their lovely service/food with the tourists/locals?I have been in this town many times before and never had this awful experience. In the end I recommend you to go somewhere else there are many great options in town.I will not do the same mistake again either.
When I am in Ronda I always go here for a drink. I like the natural people here and it's good hearted owner who always serves with a nice smile and his homemade philosophy! Pepe is a Ronda original and the cubatas/drinks are served with a nice amount of volume!
Servicio 10, por parte de todo el personal, muy amables, la comida buenísima (el churrasco de cerdo buenísimo) 24€ entre dos personas, bebidas, dos tapas y la ración.
