Another visit here on our way back from Southampton. Sadly it was just after storm Eunice some paths and areas were closed. Still a very pleasant 3 hours strolling around the grounds and looking at the interior of the house. Particularly enjoyed the cartoon art exhibition on the top floors which is on till early March 22.
Excellent day, lots of places to picnic in the grounds. Fairly long ques for the cafe and food hut. Gardens were terrific. House very interesting
A delightful National Trust property, great for the whole family, accessible, with well kept facilities, and a cafe on the grounds too. Come for a walk along the river, explore the house and gardens, visit the natural spring, or just enjoy a coffee in the courtyard, there are many things to do and explore, with plenty of space for little ones to safely run around.
Stunning grounds and a great place to relax and unwind in the beautiful gardens. Dogs allowed on short leads which is unusual for a location like this, a lot of similar places don't allow dogs. Lovely cafe to grab food and drink, or take your own with plenty of places to picnic.
