Homely atmosphere and good food with excellent prices

This restaurant is the best in the area for great food and welcoming staff.

I have passed by this restaurant many times over the years, but tonight I decided to stop in for breakfast. It was a big mistake! I ordered two eggs scrambled lightly, a side of Scrapple, home fries with onions, toast, and coffee. The waitress was excited to offer flavored creamer with the coffee, which was actually quite good. However, the home fries were overcooked and inedible, the toast was only toasted on one side, and the scrambled eggs were hard and in small pieces. Despite my complaints, the waitress did not offer to replace any of the items. The service was slow and my meal was brought out in three separate deliveries over a 10-minute period. I was extremely dissatisfied with the food quality and service, and even though I left a 22% tip, I will never return to this restaurant. I recommend avoiding this place for breakfast unless they improve their cooking staff. It was a horrible experience.

The recommended dishes included the Hamburger Steak, Salad Bar, Liver Onions, Bowl of Homemade Vegetable, Mashed Potatoes or Fries, and Gravy. The price per person was between $30-50 for dinner.
