Amazing aperitivo expirience! Strongly improve when your legs are hurt after a long day in the Vatican city

This place is definitely not the greatest for pizza (NOTE: We didn’t try the pasta or any other main entree). The prices are high compared to most of Rome and the quality isn’t so great. The only plus side is that the pizza is big and heavy, so I guess you get you money’s worth in terms of quantity. Having said that, the quality was bad. We ordered the vegetarian, Margherita and the ham pizza. All fell flat. If you want pizza, there is a spot called Pizzeria Vecchio Borgo, 1-2 min walk away from this place.

I had the pleasure to eat here during my trip to Rome and I would like to come back! Roberto was very friendly and entertaining make the meal that is much more fun! I had amatriciana rigatoni and it was some of the best pasta I had during my trip. An excellent experience!

On a recent trip to Rome on May 30, 2022, we had lunch at Bistro Ave. It was a delightful experience. The food was delicious. Our waiter, Roberto, was superb. He was friendly and made us feel totally welcome as Americans.
