We are appreciative eaters and did not finish this because everything was over fried and completely tasteless. No seasoning. Bland. Disappointing. Not worth the money.
They only sell appetizers. They don't sell you a full course meal of Puerto Rican food. I asked for a plate of white rice, red beans, some steak, yellow platanos, avocado, with some salad on the side, and asked for a Malta to wash it all down. The lady at the front said we only sell appetizers. I told her online it says you sell Puerto Rican food.
I recently moved from FL to TX. Like any true foodie I started to go out and find the best places to satisfy my appetite. Though there’s delicious food all throughout Houston. I started to crave my native food. On a quest to find some delicious Puertorican food, I was left with disappointment. That is until I found this place. Not only are their prices affordable but the food is seasoned and cooked as authentic as the food in the island. One bite of their alcapurria and it was as if I was eating at the kioskos in Piñones. Totally recommend !
Me and my family came to eat here around 3 p.m. There was no sense of hospitality, and the food we got was not fresh. We ordered a tripleta sandwich with mini Papas locas. The Papas was good but the sandwich had a distinct flavor that, in my opinion, reminded me of bad,day old chicken. We had a yuca and plantain alcapurria. Though the flavor was good in those, we wish it had more meat.
THE FOOD WAS AMAZING Wish there was one close to home
