Pizzeria Mediterranea - Roma

We visited here on our last day in Rome based on TripAdvisor reviews and had the best pizza of our trip across Italy. The owner was very friendly and helpful, explaining the pizza is sold by the weight so you can buy small pieces of each rather than just trying one. He even recommended a local drink I was unfamiliar with that was delicious too. We tried the gorgonzola and red onion, smoked ham and smoked cheese, Salami, and margarita. You can order from what's available and once it's sold out, the owner will bring out a new flavour so everything is always fresh and changing. We'd definitely make an effort to visit again when we return to Rome.

Delicious crust and amazing toppings...by the slice, pay by the pound. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. A real treat. Take away or eat in. Friendly staff, too. Another great reason to visit Monti!

My family and I visited the restaurant today. WOW the pizzas are so crispy and the ingredients are very fresh too. The staff is cordial and would like to commend his great customer service too.
