La Casa Del Caffe Tazza D Oro - Roma

Our family loved this coffee shop. We came every day. On our last day in Rome, everyone went back for their second cup of coffee and croissants. Customer service was not the best but we did not care. We were there for the coffee.

I’m not really a coffee drinker and I absolutely hate strong coffee. So in April when the tour guide suggested we go to his favorite coffee place and try a real Italian coffee the espresso, I thought oh well, when in Rome and he was treating us. Although he teased me about wanting cream, he ordered mine with cream. When you ask for cream in Italy, it’s whipped cream. They fill a little cup with espresso then give it to you and let put in the amount of sugar you want. They then take it back and pipe whip cream on it. So as someone who doesn’t like strong coffee, I have to say that was the BEST coffee I’ve ever had. You spoon it more than you drink it. It was absolutely amazing! How delightful! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! After the tour I went back and had another cup. When I went back to Rome in October I found the coffee shop again and had two more cups. YAY! Not only was the espresso as delicious as before but the service was amazing. All the guys behind the counter were so extremely friendly and helpful. I had forgotten how to order the espresso the second time and can’t speak Italian. All I had was a picture I had taken the first time I was there. The gentleman taking the order was very friendly and patient with me. If I ever go to Rome again, I’m coming back to this place. Hands-down, the best coffee place in Italy.

Found this spot on our last morning in Dome. We were so sad we hadn’t found it sooner. Great coffee and pastries all reasonably priced and with friendly service. We’ll be back!

Caffè veramente buono in un locale storico di Roma vicino al Pantheon

Lo loro granita al caffè rimane la migliore, ma….non è possibile farla pagare 4€! Trattasi sempre di un caffè’ con ghiaccio con un po’ di panna. Il prezzo non è giustificato. E credo che la bassa affluenza, in una giornata calda ed afosa d’estate, rispetto alle resse di alcuni anni fa, siano la dimostrazione che stiano sbagliando politica dei prezzi.
