Al Callarello - Roma

This excellent restaurant was an easy walk from our San Saba Airbnb. We enjoyed traditional Roman dishes in an unhurried, friendly environment. All dishes were great and the service was quite good. We will return again if we return to Rome.

Really slow service, almost impossible to get the check. The linguine with spigola and lemon I ordered was far too salty and didn’t really taste of any lemon, it was also swimming in olive oil. I asked for a new one but the second time I got the dish it tasted exactly the same and was equally salty and swimming in oil, so I guess that’s how the restaurant intends to serve this dish. It’s a pity, when I lived in the neighborhood I used to come here a lot, but my impression is that the kitchen has changed a bit.

Typical Roman trattoria with warm and very welcoming atmosphere. We ate very well and had a nice evening. I definitely recommend!

We all took appetizers, first and any dessert, water and wine. spending in total 28€ per head including the discount. the food was very good, all 3 my courses I appreciated them (baccalà fritto, amatriciana and tiramisù.

The full bill was 49.50 EUR and I just realized after paying (and having left the restaurant) that I was only given 1.50 EUR discount instead of applying 20% off food. I think you need to call their attention to this as in the end it does not make sense to advertise 20% off when it is not correctly applied by the participating restaurant... Quite deceiving actually.
