The Hotel Hassler is located at the top of the Trinità dei Monti steps, perhaps one of the most iconic places in Rome. For this reason the location of the Hotel makes it unique in the world. The rooms, of a high standard, however, do not present 100% of what one would expect from a 5-star hotel costing €1,800 per night (price list). The bathtub, for example, had a damaged spot, which, although negligible, would not be expected from a hotel of this caliber where attention to detail must be obsessive. The lack of windows in the bathroom makes it difficult to live in and the lighting in the room could be improved. The gym has a wonderful view of the Spanish Steps, with a basic supply of equipment. Overall the hospitality is of a high standard, the staff know your name and are friendly. For breakfast I expected something more, with the attendant offering me dishes freshly cooked by the chef instead of the classic coffee that I could have even in any 3-star hotel. Overall Hotel with a unique location, beautiful structure but without anything exceptional. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5
